About Christ Lutheran Academy
Still in our early years, Christ Lutheran Academy is celebrating it's eighth school year in
2008-2009. With five graduating classes of successful, bright and promising young people,
we look forward to making a difference in the lives of young people for many years to come.
Christ Lutheran Academy started as the result of a number of families who felt the need for a
Christian High School in the far west suburbs of Chicago. With many, many new people
moving into the area, a Plainfield location seemed to be the best location for people to travel
from areas such as Oswego, Montgomery, Aurora, Naperville, Bolingbrook and other
communities along the I-55 corridor.
CLA began with the original intention of primarily serving the students who graduate from
several Lutheran grade schools in the area. The school soon realized many others in the
community saw the importance and shared the interest in a Christian high school.
With strong roots in the historically successful Lutheran education tradition, CLA serves people
of all denominations and faith. CLA strives to be a community high school -- a community of
Christ, serving the community for Christ.
